Got a Good Christmas Story?

Coachlight Musical Theatre is creating a Christmas show based on the funny, uplifting, true holiday stories of the people who live and work in Brown County.  To make that happen, we need your help!

·    Type up your favorite Brown County holiday story or memory.

·    Submit your story to the theatre, with your name, address, phone number and email address, no later than September 30, 2010.

·    The theatre will choose 4-5 stories to adapt for the Christmas show, which will open Friday, November 26, 2010. 

·    Stories may be submitted either by mail to: Coachlight Musical Theatre, Christmas Story Contest, PO Box 101, Boggstown, IN 46110 or via E-MAIL TO: coachlightmusicaltheatre@live.com

·    Story submissions must be typed and legible, include complete name and contact information of the person submitting the story, and received by the theatre no later than September 30, 2010 to be considered.

The chosen stories will be adapted into the “Our Brown County Christmas” show at Coachlight Musical Theatre. Not only will each story be adapted for the stage, but a musical theatre stage at that.  Here’s your chance to see Uncle Bud burst into song over the turkey, or Cousin Betty do the dance of the last minute shopper.  Think of it as ‘A Christmas Story’, only set to music and about your own friends and neighbors.

 To sweeten the deal, the authors of the winning stories will receive complementary tickets to see the show, as well as a few other surprises.   So get busy writing!  What have you got to lose?
